Made in England by George Davidson & Co circa 1887, this is a gorgeous blue "Pearline" footed cake plate or comport. Rare and collectible. Design registration number stamped to glass 96945. Beautiful pattern with a uniquely scalloped opalescent rim. Perfect for a small cake or treats, as a decorative item on its own or grouped with similar pieces. In good condition commensurate with age and use. Some scratch marks to plate, a few air bubbles and some small darkish specks mostly towards base (probably cinder and not uncommon in early pieces). Shown in photos. Height 9cm, diameter to rim 21cm approximately.
