Stunning Maltese egg shaped paperweight by MDINA Glass and handblown in the "Blue Crizzle" pattern - introduced in the late 1970's. The "crizzle" effect is created by rapid chilling of the molten glass, causing tiny, intricate fractures or cracks that are trapped within the glass. Colours are stunning, especially when the light hits it. Signed to base with original sticker attached. In fantastic condition. Height approx. 8cm.
