Made in France this is a unique and very functional vintage bottle-top opener called "Ducky" made by Kirby Beard & Co Paris, mid 20th century or earlier. In the shape of a mallard duck's head it is made of pewter and brass and is a good weight to hold. The bottle-top opening mechanism is on the bottom and you use the beak as a lever to open. Perfect piece for the bar cart or man cave!  Engraved "Ducky Paris" to base. In good condition commensurate with age and use. There are later copies of this design but this is the original! Height 8.5cm, length 13cm approx.
