Made in Liege, Belgium, this is a stunning crystal sculpture of 'Madonna and Child' designed by Rene Delvenne for Val Saint Lambert. Also referred to as 'Mother and Child'. A modern, contemporary design for the time, quite collectible and heavy to hold. Catches the light beautifully - photos do not do this justice. Acid etched Val St Lambert to base. In fantastic condition - a couple of scratches to base only. Height 26.5cm approx.
