Made in Hungary by renowned brand HEREND this is a quite rare, oblong shaped, vintage white porcelain lidded box in the iconic 'Queen Victoria' pattern - green border. Hand-painted by Herend's skilled artisans with flowers, butterflies and gold detail. Makers mark to base dates it between 1950-1960. 'Herend 7987' also embossed to base. In fantastic condition - no chips, no scratches. Length 17cm, width 9cm, height 4cm approximately.
* The original set was first introduced in 1851 at the First World Exhibition in London, England. Purchased by Queen Victoria herself, it was subsequently named for her.
