Made in Malta, this is a gorgeous handblown small vase by MDINA Glass in the "Blue Crizzle" pattern, introduced in the late 1970's, and quite collectable. Characterised by heavy-walled construction and shades of blue - a signature aesthetic of Mdina Glass. The "crizzle" effect is created by rapid chilling of the molten glass, causing tiny, intricate fractures or cracks that are trapped within the glass. Colours are stunning, especially when the light hits it. Original sticker attached and in fantastic condition - no chips, no scratches. Height 12.5cm, diameter to rim 9cm approximately.
